June 30 last day?

Well we have got to the last day and it feels like time for reflection.

On the whole I have enjoyed the juneathon. What I didn't like was having to come to terms with the startling fact that it is me that makes the excuses so only I know how valid they are.

Did the weather stop me . On the whole no just meant it was a bit muddy.

Do I feel fitter. Not really but it is early days

Would I recommend doing it . yes - gives you a fresh start where you can just be a beginner.

Would I do it again. Yes

And the blogging- that remains to be seen. I should have invested in blogsie earlier as it makes it easier

June 30th last day of juneathon

Well I got to the 30th and I have managed the excercise, well the walking to work, but been really rubbish at the blog. So I thought I would spend some cash and buy a little ap called blogsy to help with the blogging from my iPad. First thoughts £2.99 well spent.

Today I just did a quick walk over to the office from the village but at least it was something.

I'll try to get out and find more pinecones when I go out tomorrow.

June 25 walking to work

Today, I had a really great excuse to not walk across the fields part of the way to work.I had a rather cumbersome file that I need to take with me as well as all my healthy snacks, phone and iPad. I did rather look like a bag lady but I'm glad to say I did the walk., for some reason it feels like stolen time . For years I've just sat in my car patiently waiting for the road to clear, my little walk cuts out that frustration and just allows me to wake up gradually. When I walked back to the car at lunchtime I even felt the heat from the sun. Weird it's been so cold and windy I'd forgotten what it was like to feel heat.

Juneathon 7th june / 14th

Ok so I think it is safe to say I have failed with the blogging side of the Juneathon. I do have an excuse of sorts . I have been on a mission at work to write some templates to make my work less arduous and boy did my eyes ache and the end of each day.
By last thursday they were just so sore and ached so much I just stopped wearing my contact lenses and decided to give them a rest for the week.

I have been walking and running carrying on with week 2 of the beginners running.
Week 2 includes run 2 minutes walk 1 minute walk x7 times.

I am finding the most difficult bit is the first step out of the door, after that is it is just a pain.
Need to do another session today then will be back on track.

As for the walking, I have found a route out from my office that takes me a circular route over to the woods and back. Who would have thought that in June I would need my lovely Arc'reryxteryx
