June 30 last day?

Well we have got to the last day and it feels like time for reflection.

On the whole I have enjoyed the juneathon. What I didn't like was having to come to terms with the startling fact that it is me that makes the excuses so only I know how valid they are.

Did the weather stop me . On the whole no just meant it was a bit muddy.

Do I feel fitter. Not really but it is early days

Would I recommend doing it . yes - gives you a fresh start where you can just be a beginner.

Would I do it again. Yes

And the blogging- that remains to be seen. I should have invested in blogsie earlier as it makes it easier

Juneathon 7th june / 14th

Ok so I think it is safe to say I have failed with the blogging side of the Juneathon. I do have an excuse of sorts . I have been on a mission at work to write some templates to make my work less arduous and boy did my eyes ache and the end of each day.
By last thursday they were just so sore and ached so much I just stopped wearing my contact lenses and decided to give them a rest for the week.

I have been walking and running carrying on with week 2 of the beginners running.
Week 2 includes run 2 minutes walk 1 minute walk x7 times.

I am finding the most difficult bit is the first step out of the door, after that is it is just a pain.
Need to do another session today then will be back on track.

As for the walking, I have found a route out from my office that takes me a circular route over to the woods and back. Who would have thought that in June I would need my lovely Arc'reryxteryx

Day 24

Well this is a disastrous attempt at a blog I must say. We are now on day 24 and I had almost forgotten about the blogging bit.....except that my beloved reminded me.
I have to say in mitigation that it's because I've been tired from doing the exercising bit that the blogging went out the window. I have been running or walking everyday bar 2 1 when I did 8 hours in the garden and 2 the day after when I couldn't move because of the previous days effort but apart from that I've been at least walking everyday, maybe just in my lunchtimes but that's more than I was doing before the juneathon.

Anyway a few days ago when I had spent the day wandering about feeling very lethargic without any energy a penny dropped. I realised that it's not just that I am not eating the right things I am still just not eating enough. Also I eat too late in the day. So I made a few changes and started having a much bigger breakfast. Having looked at the recommendations by the Food Doctor I also decided to try and follow their proportions of carbs to protein to sugar at every meal. This means I have to have breakfast in a few stages but it's ok. I set it up the night before and then I have enough time.

It's early days but today I got up and having had what seemed like a large breakfast and lunch I walked over the common for a good couple of hours. I would like to say how far but on this occasion it was the watch and phone that ran out of energy I would not say I was like the Duracell bunny but it was definitely better. What is even better is it 10o'clock and I still feel ok . Still crap at the blogging bit though .
I took photos on my walk but can't get my head round how to up load them . May have to leave that till tomorrow.

I did Juneathon Day 5 promise

Ok so I dont seem to be very good at this.
Yesterday I did a days gardening including my most hated chore strimming the
Veggies. In the afternoon in the spirit of juneathon I walked over to the common and gathered
Pine cones in the wheelbarrow. More bending and stretching than walking but as I have been meaning to do it for
Ages and have never got round to it. So see my rules ...it counts.
Anyway I was just about to write today's entry then noticed that yesterday's comments written at 10.30 pm was missing?

I am really not good at this blogging.

Oops where's my blog for day 3

Well day 3 of the juneathonwas wet. I spent the morning pottering in the
garden planting lettuce and cabbages.

After lunch I found a satellite link for my garmin (see excusese on day2) and was about to head out when the drizzle became a downpour. I thought it was a reasonable excuse and was going to wait for it to ease.
Except my partner pointed out that I have a Gore rain jacket .

So I had to go.
Actually it was ok, just a bit soggy and I now have done week 1 of the beginners running.

I promise I did blog it when I got home but it seems to have vanished.
So far I am finding the exercise easy it's the blogging that's difficult.

Best excuse for the day

It's raining

Dithering around again- day 2

Well after yesterday's excitement I woke up today feeling very proud of my self. Gotup and pottered around with that warm smug glow that yes yes yes I had finally done it. There was just 1 tiny nagging doubt in the back of my head ... a voice kept saying no you haven't done it.

About 10.00 I realised the error I had made. I hadn't done it at all, It was a big fat lie to myself. I had started and completed a measely 1/31 of the task. I had to do more and whilst I had really planned Friday's start-up I had put no thought into how to cram today's exercise in. I did what I always do in these circumstances...absolutely nothing. I spent a good couple of hours alternating between dithering between walk to find an item on the Treasure Hunt list that Travelling Hopefully has so inventively started or count watering the veggies with cans as exercise.

Finally I rang out of time and so went for the quickest and easiest option.
