Juneathon 7th june / 14th

Ok so I think it is safe to say I have failed with the blogging side of the Juneathon. I do have an excuse of sorts . I have been on a mission at work to write some templates to make my work less arduous and boy did my eyes ache and the end of each day.
By last thursday they were just so sore and ached so much I just stopped wearing my contact lenses and decided to give them a rest for the week.

I have been walking and running carrying on with week 2 of the beginners running.
Week 2 includes run 2 minutes walk 1 minute walk x7 times.

I am finding the most difficult bit is the first step out of the door, after that is it is just a pain.
Need to do another session today then will be back on track.

As for the walking, I have found a route out from my office that takes me a circular route over to the woods and back. Who would have thought that in June I would need my lovely Arc'reryxteryx

I did Juneathon Day 5 promise

Ok so I dont seem to be very good at this.
Yesterday I did a days gardening including my most hated chore strimming the
Veggies. In the afternoon in the spirit of juneathon I walked over to the common and gathered
Pine cones in the wheelbarrow. More bending and stretching than walking but as I have been meaning to do it for
Ages and have never got round to it. So see my rules ...it counts.
Anyway I was just about to write today's entry then noticed that yesterday's comments written at 10.30 pm was missing?

I am really not good at this blogging.

Oops where's my blog for day 3

Well day 3 of the juneathonwas wet. I spent the morning pottering in the
garden planting lettuce and cabbages.

After lunch I found a satellite link for my garmin (see excusese on day2) and was about to head out when the drizzle became a downpour. I thought it was a reasonable excuse and was going to wait for it to ease.
Except my partner pointed out that I have a Gore rain jacket .

So I had to go.
Actually it was ok, just a bit soggy and I now have done week 1 of the beginners running.

I promise I did blog it when I got home but it seems to have vanished.
So far I am finding the exercise easy it's the blogging that's difficult.

Best excuse for the day

It's raining

Dithering around again- day 2

Well after yesterday's excitement I woke up today feeling very proud of my self. Gotup and pottered around with that warm smug glow that yes yes yes I had finally done it. There was just 1 tiny nagging doubt in the back of my head ... a voice kept saying no you haven't done it.

About 10.00 I realised the error I had made. I hadn't done it at all, It was a big fat lie to myself. I had started and completed a measely 1/31 of the task. I had to do more and whilst I had really planned Friday's start-up I had put no thought into how to cram today's exercise in. I did what I always do in these circumstances...absolutely nothing. I spent a good couple of hours alternating between dithering between walk to find an item on the Treasure Hunt list that Travelling Hopefully has so inventively started or count watering the veggies with cans as exercise.

Finally I rang out of time and so went for the quickest and easiest option.

So 10pm , just a few hours to go and Do I have :"b" kit ready"break" Training watch "break" Socks "break" Plan"break" Route"break" "break" The answer to all these is a resounding no. I have been working on one thing : my excuses I have another 1 to add to the list. I can't exercise because my cars at the garage. I won't bore you with details .... It is exactly as it seems a pretty lame excuse. "break" In other news my partner is getting lots of excercise oiling our new kitchen wooden work top which needs to be sanded and oiled every day for a week then every week for a month then every month for a year.

Ii'm not sure what frightens me more.....

Seriously I'm not sure which fills me with more dread ...agreeing to take some exercise every day in June 2012 or agreeing to write about it!

In case you hadn't heard the annual Juneathon is about to begin; when a few mad souls agree not only take some exercise every day in June; but to also blog about it.  On the grounds that I can't do anything on regular a daily basis; even having breakfast is a bit hit and miss, trying to do 2 things everyday for 30 days is a bit scary. I haven't run for ... well since I cant remember when and my first attempt at blogging lasted 3 maybe 4 posts.
Not a great pedigree.  Wish me luck... I need it.
